Institutional

As a society, we grow from one another whether that is through our work, our successes, or our mistakes. In order to promote growth within the community and within individuals, there must be places that foster risk-taking and question-asking. Institutions not only provide the materials to study, learn, and grow; the architecture provides a safe space to research, collaborate, investigate, and document.

Museums, libraries, charities, and government institutions are all examples of institutional architecture that encourage the mind to wander and expand beyond the setting of a classroom. These types of projects help define the character of a place through their relationships with the urban fabric and its populace. We diligently meet with stakeholders and conduct site and historic research to guide our design process toward a project of its place and community whether that is through architecture or urban design.
